Customer Support Advisor

This role will involve responding to workshop garage equipment breakdowns as well as diagnosing and rectifying equipment issues ensuring our customers are compliant and productive.

We are looking for someone to be the first point of contact and take ownership of all customer enquiries from telephone calls and / or emails for both new equipment & service. Be aware of customer service level agreements resolving enquiries thorough to resolution and convert sales quotations for both equipment & service to support the needs of our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all calls are answered within 10 seconds and emails are responded to within 1 hour of receipt.
  • For all enquiries, accurately log the customer details and the nature of the enquiry and / or equipment type, make, model, serial number and problem description where applicable.
  • For equipment enquiries pass details to relevant persons for further action.
  • For service enquiries confirm the engineer’s attendance/resolution in accordance with customer service level agreements.
  • Courtesy follow-up calls to ensure customer expectations are always being delivered, including regular customer updates regarding outstanding tasks.
  • Chase up on all outstanding quotations for both new equipment and service breakdown calls to support the needs of our customers, closing down after 60 working days if not accepted.
  • Record customer complaints in line with the company procedures and/or resolve and close customer complaints applicable to your actions.
  • Other ad-hoc tasks necessary to support the business.

Field Service Manager

Role Description

This is a full-time role as a Field Service Manager, based in the Glasgow / Edinburgh area. Working for the UK’s largest garage equipment and service company, you will be an integral part of the Engineering Management team. This role is well suited for an individual who thrives in a dynamic environment, values teamwork and is dedicated to delivering high-quality field services whilst developing and leading a successful team.

As a Field Service Manager for GEMCO, you will be responsible for a team of field-based engineers. You will identify and carry out continuous improvement activities, support organisational growth, provide technical support and carry out people management activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a team of field service engineers
  • Continuously review engineering resource levels, skills and tooling required to ensure we meet the demands of our customers and any non-conformances escalated to line manager for immediate action
  • Carry out annual appraisals with each engineer
  • Identify training requirements and work with the training department to facilitate
  • Ensure correctly trained / skilled engineering resources are allocated to the correct tasks delivering high customer satisfaction
  • Complete personal development plans with engineers annually to enhance their technical skills and support their career goals.
  • Conduct regular quality audits to uphold service standards and identify areas for improvement.
  • Attend technical escalations, providing expertise and guidance to resolve complex issues in the field.
  • Assess engineers on site, monitoring their work to ensure compliance with company standards and customer expectations.
  • Generate comprehensive reports on key performance indicators (KPIs) to track and measure the team’s overall performance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address challenges and implement process enhancements.
  • Participate in the interview process for new engineers, assessing candidates for technical competence and cultural fit.
  • Complete investigations as required

  • Proven experience managing field-based teams
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team

  • Excellent levels of communication at all levels, both internally and externally
  • Experience in conducting quality audits and implementing improvement initiatives

Key Account Manager

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role as a Key Account Manager located in Mytholmroyd. Working for the UK’s largest garage equipment and service company, you will provide customer account management functions to several key customers, delivering on our company values and supporting the service department.

The ideal candidate is a passionate, self-motivated, and detail-oriented team player who is committed to the success of our customers. You will focus on growing and developing relationships with our existing clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Understand the needs of the customer and provide solutions to problems.
  • Follow up enquiries and organise any necessary customer appointments.
  • Regularly provide customer key performance indicators/metrics
  • Suggest further improvements based on the needs of the customer and help increase customer loyalty.
  • Identify and raise any potential leads/opportunities for growth.
  • Manage any relevant tender applications through to completion.
  • Liaise with relevant key stakeholders to assist in the resolution of customer escalations.

Qualifications

Junior CAD Design Engineer

Role Description

To produce high quality design layout drawings for workshop garage equipment installations at the required specification and compliance

Key Responsibilities

  • Using computer assisted design/drafting (AutoCad LT 2023) software.
  • To create, amend and finalise layout drawings including layout of workshop garage equipment and associated construction drawings).
  • Ability to interact at all levels, including customer design architects and building contractors
  • Recreation of sketches from the sales force into professional, detailed and accurate drawings.
  • Responsible for setting up and maintaining an organised file system for all drawings and associated templates for ease of use.
  • Effective communication with internal sales team and project managers.

Qualifications

  • Experience in the use of CAD Design software desirable, equivalent degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school considered.
  • Customer focus attitude, with a polite and professional manner
